Week 3

While going through the Ink tutorial series that had helped me in setting up the Ink script and integrating it for Unity, I found a way to fix the issue of the text and buttons clustering by looking at the next tutorial in the series that went through formatting. From the tutorial, I realized that the canvas object had a horizontal layer group component - which places its child layout elements next to each other, side by side. The tutorial showed solving this problem by removing that component and replacing it with a vertical layer group component, which now made the text and buttons be placed on top of each other and no longer side to side. All that was left was to fiddle around with spacing and text sizes to get the right fit for the screen.

Lastly, I added the first background for the game while Aoife continued to work on the rest of the background images. The background image, however, did not register when the game was in play mode, as the text and buttons were on screen but the background was that of the camera (which was set to gray). This will be another problem I have to fix in the meantime.
